Experience the Refuge at night. The Staff and Friends of Crane Meadows NWR are hosting a Candlelight Ski on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Trails will be lit by candle luminaries and participants are encouraged to cross-country ski, snowshoe, or hike. There will be a short loop for snowshoeing and a longer one for skiing. If no snow, hiking will be encouraged. Refreshments will be available in the heated garage at Refuge Headquarters. Event is free…

Disabled Deer Hunter Event

Public Safety Announcement: The Platte River Trail at Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge will be closed on Wednesday, October 11 and Thursday, October 12 for the annual Disabled Deer Hunter Event. This is to ensure hiker safety and also provide a quality hunt for the disabled participants in the hunt. The trail will reopen on Friday the 13th for use. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
